Overview
Lighter, stiffer, and more tunable than its competitors, the Mattoc is the desired componentry for all bikes. The Mattoc Expert should be on your bike not just because it can address all needs, but because it can improve the riding experience in a meaningful way. At a scant 1770 grams yet stiffer than nearly anything else in its travel range, the Expert boasts Expert Air spring with IVA and VTT-6P compression damping.
Features
Extremely lightweight at 1770g yet stiffer than nearly anything else available in its travel range for uncompromised performance.
VTT-6P (Variable Terrain Tune) features 3-position compression adjust maintaining rock-solid lockout without compromising open and mid settings.
Independent shim stacks (one for Lockout, one for other positions) allow manipulation of damper characteristics to be progressive or digressive.
Positions 1-2 feature open flow path, positions 3-6 engage adjustable shim stack increasing platform force for terrain-specific tuning.
IVA (Incremental Volume Adjust) modifies positive air chamber volume with self-contained spacers for ramp-up tuning without additional parts.
Expert Air spring allows main air spring ramp-up tuning to rider weight, style and conditions.
34mm chassis represents best in class for weight and stiffness - 30% stiffer than previous version with zero compromises.
Wide tuning range combines benefits of low-speed platform and high-speed progressive tune suitable for any terrain.
Eliminates high-speed spike found in many dampers while maintaining lockout force demanded by XC users.
Versatile specificity adapts perfectly to many disciplines from XC to light enduro performing flawlessly in each.
Industry leading stiffness with featherweight construction delivers ride improvement across fire-roads, jump lines, and chunky technical terrain.
The people's fork - designed to serve real needs of widest range of MTB riders offering serious performance advantages to each individual.
